2018年3月26日至29日，应意大利博洛尼亚国际展览公司邀请，中国作为主宾国参加第五十五届博洛尼亚国际儿童书展，展览在意大利博洛尼亚会展中心举办。中国少年儿童新闻出版总社（下简称中少总社）与中国图书进出口（集团）总公司（下简称中图集团）共同承办了本届书展的主宾国重点活动。 2018年意大利博洛尼亚国际儿童书展中国主宾国展馆总面积为900平方米，其中600平方米位于博洛尼亚展览中心26号馆B127，另有位于中心展厅Service Center约300平米的中国原创插画展。
